I'm going to be straight and to the point here: anyone interesting in playing Maid RPG. I finally stepped into the year 2003 and got wifi at my house, so I'll probally be active enough to GM if you'd let me.

I can't any other pen and paper game hacing a fraction of the appeal this game would have to the Fanservice audience. And under all of it, the mechanics are unlike anything I’ve certainly even played; ironically, the one main idea was for a light hearted lesy game, though the seduction/romance rules are acutally optional. There's nothing better for a silly, light hearted game.

The second reason is because, as I have already stated before, I worship Ewen Cluney, the guy translateed it, the first jrpg to be offically published in English. So, if you pirate it to play and have fun, I'd recomend you buy it. I've talked to Ewen, he is cool and has yet to beat me with a baseball bat; he needs money.

Bros, I need your help. More specifically, I need your manga recommendations.

Anyway, finishing Helter Skelter, I’m mangaless, and open. I was thinking of looking for scanlations of Takeshi Maekawa’s Ironfist Chinmi, Motoo Sabiko’s Progolfer Saru (I actually like golf), Desert Rose (In which a widowed housewife decides to become a terrorist fighting badass), or Tsutomu Takahashi’s Jiraishin (A psychological detective story). However, I want to the two cents of you guys.

I have some weird taste I’m pretty sure none of you know or care about, but I guess they should be taken into account.

When all else fails, I reach for a shonen. Sports, busting heads, whatever. I’m a dude. My favs are Eyeshield 21, even though I care less about American football, and UFO Robo Grendizer, even if the manga version didn’t really have an ending.

I’ve been getting into H.P. Lovecraft, so some horror might be nice. I like Gio the Death Stench Creeps.

I’m also a tad fond of soap opera type shojo stuff, the cheesier, angstier, and more overly dramatic the better. The more psychological stuff is funderful too. My favorite shojos are currently Red River, God Child, and Boy’s Over Flowers. And my favorite josei is Helter Skelter.

Food. Stuff about cooking is good, even if I may not have much of a stomach. Oishinbo and What Did You Eat Yesterday are definite favorites.

CLAMP is a crapshoot. For everything by them I love like Clover, they come out with seven things that make me say WTF like Legend of Chun Hyang.

There was a dog that got cut in half, then kicked acrossed the room. And please, please tell me that Darby is a recurring character. Definitely going to read the manga now. I just read something about Bridgette is ambigously austisitc, so if only for that, I'll defnitely try Freezing out. And the art for Homunculus at least looks pretty. Thanks bros.

Secondly, I think it would be appropriate if we had a nice discussion about this show, especially seeing as it was so highly anticipated.

Personally, I found the first episode to be a ton of fun. It doesn't seem to be concerned with being deep or moe or any of that shit. Beautiful colours, attractive art style, balls-to-the-wall action scenes, DAT FUCKING SOUNDTRACK, so on and so forth. I found that the literal toilet humour in the first part was a bit much, and Panty's slutty nature seems forced at times, which made me to prefer Stocking in the end. Anywho, it seemed very much like a vlugar American cartoon, and it was a fucking blast to watch. It's definately not for everyone, but I think this may be one of the only anime series I watch where I end up rewatching the episodes over and over.
