I'm bringing sexy back with a jungle juice recipe I blatantly ripped off the internet, with some slight modifications. I'll be sure to post actual cocktails in the future.

Prep for both recipes: buy a big-ass plastic trash can (20-30 gallon trash can is best) and clean that motherfucker out with soap and water, rinsing thoroughly. DO NOT USE A TRASH CAN THAT HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN USED FOR GARBAGE STORAGE AND DISPOSAL, YOU MORONS. Also, buy a huge-ass wooden spoon for mixing, or maybe find a boat oar if you're classy. It's best to prepare this at least 6 hours ahead of time, letting the fruit absorb some of the alcohol. Ice might be a good idea too. Use cheap liquor; don't go using the Stoli and Beefeater for this beverage. For a slightly stronger drink, replace some of the liqueurs and schnapps with more hard liquor, preferably Everclear or vodka.

AND NOW SOME OF DAT RED JUICE
1 L Everclear
5.25 L (3 1.75L bottles) vodka
1 bottle peach schnapps
750 mL bottle Bacardi 151
1 bottle 99 Apples apple schnapps
10 L Sprite (Fresca is an acceptable replacement, oddly enough, if you can find it!)
1 L Sunny Delight® orange juice
1 L triple sec
1.75 L bottle gin
4 bottles Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill wine
8 L Hawaiian Punch
2 containers orange juice concentrate (adding some pineapple juice along with the OJ is good too)
fruit (oranges, apples, pineapples, melons, strawberries, etc.)

Make it purple by using grape Hawaiian Punch (yes, they do make it) and add grape Kool-Aid mix if you want to.

Okay, here's an actual cocktail: the MANHATTAN. Yes, it is usually served in a cocktail glass; no, it is not a girly drink.

The Manhattan is sort of like the martini in that there are many (mostly slight) variations in recipe and how you make the cocktail is based on personal taste. Here's the recipe from "New American Bartender's Handbook" by Dave Broom (2003):

"2 oz. rye whiskey
1 oz. sweet vermouth
3 dashes Angostura
drop of maraschino juice
maraschino cherry

Stir the ingredients in a mixing glass, then strain into cocktail glass. Drop the cherry in the glass and serve."

I use a different recipe when I make my manhattans, and it follows as:
1/2 ounce red vermouth
1/2 ounce white vermouth
4 ounces of Southern Comfort
dash of bitters
drop of maraschino juice
maraschino cherry

shake well, strain, and serve

I also have a recipe for something similar to a white russian, except I dug it out of my grandfather's 1934 Old Mr.Boston cocktail book, called the Panama Cocktail:
1 part cremé de Cacao
1 part sweet cream
1 part Old Mr.Boston Apricot Nectar
shake and serve

Sazerac. A little involved in its execution but worth it.

Two Old Fashioned glasses (One filled with ice to chill)
1/4 oz absinthe (or comparable anise liqueur)
1 sugar cube
4 dashes Peychaud's bitters
2 oz rye whiskey.
lemon peel

In the empty glass, muddle the sugar cube and bitters and add the Rye.
Dump the ice from the chilled glass and coat the inside with the absinthe. Discard the excess.
Carefully decant the Rye, making sure not to dump any remaining sugar into the chilled glass.
Finish off the drink by twisting a lemon peel over the glass and then rubbing the rim with it.
== DO NOT commit the faux pas of dropping the peel INTO the glass. ==
If you simply must keep it with the drink, drape it over the rim.

Repeat ad inebriation.

If you like oranges, then you'll like this.

One highball glass filled with ice
2oz of Peach Schnapps
8oz of Orange Juice

if the schnapps aren't alcoholic enough for you, then add about 2oz of Vodka to make it quite a bit stronger.

I love all things raspberry, so I think that this twist on a Seven and Seven is perfect.

2oz Blended Whiskey
1oz Raspberry Liqueur
6oz Sprite of 7-Up
Mix over ice in a highball glass

I've been making my Manhattans differently as well, with a coffee twist for personal taste:

2.5 oz Canadian Whiskey
0.75 oz Dry Vermouth
0.75 oz Kahlua Coffee Liqueur
4-5 dashes Angostura Bitters
Stirred and served on the rocks with a maraschino cherry.

It's summertime in the northern hemisphere, motherfuckers, what you know bout a

GIN AND TONIC (image stolen from wikipedia, it looks so delicious)

1. Get yourself a tall glass and fill that bitcb about 2/3 to the top with ice.
2. Next, pour a generous amount of gin over the ice. Don't fill the whole god damn glass, dummy, but put enough in there that you can taste it. I'm partial to Tanqueray right now, but you can choose almost any mid-shelf gin
3. Squeeze some lime juice all up in that motherfucker
4. Fill the rest of that thing with some tonic water
5. Take a lime wedge and run it over the rim of the glass and then drop the wedge in the drink
6. Drink, pretend you're in Africa trying to fend off malaria
