You're a wee bit late on MUGEN, but I guess it was going to be mentioned somewhere down the line. While it's not balanced by any means, it's fun to customize and dick around in. I used to put it on a flash drive and just play it during my Grade 10 Business class. Shit was so cash.

Oh, look, Swoftu complaining about something. AGAIN. Oh well...
Look, no one said you had to play the game. If you don't like it, that's cool. You don't, also, have to complain about shit all the goddamned time. To be honest, it's quite irritating.
As for your question, I suppose the main reason you would want to give it a try is because you get a lot of content for forty bucks. Aside from the usual (arcade mode, online with excellent netcode, training, score attack), there's a tutorial mode that goes from the very basics of fighting games to more advanced techniques unique to the game, as well as strategies for each character. Challenges are pretty much like the trials of SF4. Legion Mode is basically taking party members and attacking other party members to take over a map. Story mode is quite lengthy as well. As a whole, there's a hell of a lot of game to play, and for a cheaper price than most games, it's certainly worth trying if you haven't played BB before.
